Always asking the next question
DNAbly began close to home.
Joanne was already pursuing postgraduate study in evidence-based complementary medicines when testing revealed an MTHFR variant in her daughter. Her research soon showed MTHFR is just one small part of a much bigger network of connected pathways.
Not satisfied with the standard answers, she studied nutrigenomics in depth. After years of applying it with clients, she could see what made the real difference and what standard reports left out, so she built her own 200+ gene panel and advice database.
DNAbly is the result: Northern Rivers Naturopath's DNA health service, now Australia-wide.
Support beyond the findings
Other DNA services hand you data. DNAbly hands you understanding, from a qualified naturopath who knows you.
Built around you
Your initial consultation means Joanne interprets your DNA in light of your actual health history, symptoms and goals, not in isolation.
Genuinely comprehensive
200+ genes, covering your major body systems and pathways, analysed across gut health, nutrition, hormones, detoxification, inflammation, autoimmune markers, mental health, methylation and more. Not a summary snapshot, and not AI-generated.
Real support included
A report that sits in a folder helps nobody. DNAbly includes dedicated consultations to make sure you understand and use your results, with shopping lists, foods to avoid, lifestyle guidance and mental wellbeing support tailored to your variants.

Joanne is a qualified naturopath with a background in primary health care and education and more than two decades of clinical practice, including teaching health sciences at a leading Sydney college. She holds a postgraduate Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Complementary Medicines, where she trained in finding, reading and critically analysing clinical research, and has since focused her practice on nutrigenomics: the science of how your genes interact with nutrition, lifestyle and environment.
After years of seeing clients struggle with generic advice that simply didn't work for their unique biology, Joanne spent over a year developing a comprehensive DNA analysis method of her own, one that goes far beyond what standard lab reports provide. She applies an integrative approach focused on finding root causes and supporting long-term wellbeing.
"My postgraduate training taught me to critically analyse research, so every recommendation I make is grounded in evidence, not trends. DNAbly is built on the belief that understanding your genetic blueprint should come with expert guidance, not just a printout. I aim to encourage clients to gain health independence through their own knowledge and positive action."
